The weather has been fantastic, and this is the first weekend that it hadn't rained all of one day. Time for some fine outdoor cooking and projects! Even Lard A$$ was ready for some outdoors!
First off, some paella! I also added chicken and shrimp, but I didn't get a picture of that. Good stuff! I never get tired of making it!
And tonight, pizza! We tried a new dough, and it came out pretty good! It was a modified margerita, with black olives on it and pepperonis on my half! Also, very good stuff!
Now for the projects. A few weeks ago,we went to a antique mall here in Charlotte. Pammi got an old feeding trough and turned it into a window box planter. A couple, three brackets and it's ready to go!
Pammi's also been looking at a new site called pinterest. All sorts of stuff on there. She saw where someone had taken old drawers (from a dresser, not the other kind!

) and screwed them to an old ladder and made a planter out of it. While perusing one of the local Habitat for Humanity's yesterday, she found three shipping crates. A couple screws,a little saw work and we have another new planter! This one looks pretty cool, and when it's full of herbs,it will be even better!

Jim,I had to work saturday. The one saturday of the year I have to work(inventery,BLAH!). Then it stormed saturday night/sunday morning. It'll get cut tonight.
And Mike,I think the crates came from South America. I'm nit sure they now ho to spel doun ther!

Pizza looks awesome, Phil.

Found a kid who cuts our yard for $20, so I don't cut my own yard anymore. He actually does a good job too.

Actually,Pammi took that picture.
And I have a tenth of an acre, with a small house in the middle of it. I enjoy cutting it,I just didn't get a chance to this weekend. It's gonna get done soon,I promise!
