I have seen many ideas for regular BBQ ribs on this board. It seems it always calls for either baby back ribs or regular ribs. I bought some nice country style ribs and was wondering if anyone has any different ideas for smoking them. (I have a Brinkmann gas grill.) I plan on using a rub and them applying the sauce near the end. I may smoke them or just do the normal BBQ if time does not permit. Thanks for any input.

I've done country style "ribs" several times. Of course, they really not ribs, but slices from the shoulder. I've always done them on a WSM at a low/slow temp of 250. If you can choke your gasser down that low I'm sure they would do fine.

If you do a search here, you'll find some post for CSR. I recall it being about a 4 hr cook and some like to use HD foil and some sauce during the later part of the cook. I've found the meat to be quite tasty, but it's not pulled pork(and doesn't take 14+ hrs).

Good luck on your cook.
