Country Style Pork Ribs and Cooking Time

I smoked some Country Style Pork Ribs yesterday and after 2.5 hours the internal temperature was 170. I smoked them at 200 degrees and thought that it would take longer then was thinking that the ouside temperature was 92. Could the outside temperature have that much of an effect on cooking time?

These aren't like Baby Backs or Spares at all. Don't have the fat. They will cook faster and aren't as friendly AFA long slow cooking and coming out tender.

Others may disagree, but that's been my experience.
