For your purchasing knowledge base....

Yesterday, the butcher at Costco told me they only carry the "Bone-in" standing rib roasts during the holidays /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif . (creatins!)

They did have Choice Bone-Less Rib-Eye Roasts @ $6.79 per pound. So I bought one and its in the frig.

I'll cook tomorrow during the super-bowl using the Montreal/Worcestershire recipe.

Thanks folks for your suggestions, in my previous post.

Is that similiar to a standing rib roast? I've been looking to do some prime rib for a while now. But I cannot seem to find any bone in standing rib roasts around here anywhere. All I ever find is boneless rib roasts. Just wondering if they would work the same for prime rib?
There pretty pricey. $30 to $40 for a roast.

If you take prime rib and remove the bones you have a rib eye roast. That rib eye can be cooked the same as a prime rib.
