Cooking rib tips

Hey all, quick question. Have any of you had any luck cooking rib tips? If so, did you use high or low heat? Any certain rubs or other prep work that made 'em great? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
 
Hey Brian, I cook rib tips all the time on my WSM. When I buy whole spare ribs I usually trim them myself to get a St. Louis cut which means the top part that you trim off is the rib tip.

I rub them the same as the ribs and smoke them for about 3 hours to cook them most of the way.

Then I cut them up into small chunks and simmer in some bbq sauce for about another 1 to 2 hours untill they are done and tender. Dont cook too long or they will be tough!
