So I started the initial tear down and cleaning of the redhead Spirit 700, and came across the usual suspects of broken/corroded screws.
After cleaning most of the external grease off, and scrubbing much of the underside with a steel brush, I had a better idea of the condition of the little cookbox itself.
I already know that I am going to have to attempt to drill out a couple of the screws , but as far as the condition of the drip pan posts as well as some of the deep pitting, on a scale of "this is fine" to "you're totally effed", where would you guys rate the condition? Is it worth even trying, or should I not even bother?
