A few years ago I had a coupon for Omaha steaks and decided to order up some pricey filets for some out of town guests who really enjoy steaks. (Not to mention my wife and I as well). It was embarrassing. The steaks were tough and had no flavor. Even at my discounted price, I still felt the steaks were subpar. Omaha steaks had advertised "If you are not absolutely thrilled with your purchase they' refund your money." Needless to say I wasn't " absolutely thrilled", I could have done better with some choice steaks from my local grocery store. These steaks were mediocre at best. I will say Omaha steaks did refund my money without any hassle.
I've seen the Private Reserve advertised, but can’t' tell what grade the beef is, they advertise it as "perfect" but never mention the USDA grade. I find that fishy...even deceptive.
Right now they are having a site wide sale: I can get 6, 7 oz. filets for half price, $99. That works out to be almost $38 a pound not to mention shipping and handling. Even at the "sale" price, I could splurge and get Prime from my butcher, or some dry aged steaks at the gourmet store and still have quite a bit of change in my pocket.

.
I couldn't imagine anyone paying their "regular" price ($75 a lb. for filets?).
As far as the Spirit vs. Geneses discussion, I honestly hope I didn’t' come across the wrong way. I've only heard good things about the Spirit and hope you can post some pics of some of your cooks
