My better halves brother passed away last month. We've inherited his laptop - a Dell inspiron 5100 that I believe is running windows 10. We'd like to know what is on it but don't have his password. It looks like you can either enter a pin or a password depending on which "account" you choose in the lower left corner. Any advice on how to get into windows on this machine? Thanks.

I'll also add that if you haven't already done it, please consider if you really need access to his account. To use the popular phrase, There may be things you wish you could unsee. On the other hand, it was very helpful to have access to my father's GMail in sorting stuff out.
So I guess just use caution, and consider if you really need access or if it's better just wiped.
