Competition Ribs...Cough...gag...ack!

Help!. Doing the competion ribs recipe, at the point where I'm going to foil them, but did a quick taste test of some of the end meat and, well, cough...gag...ack!

Me thinks I went a bit heavy on the rub. OR, is it supposed to be like that, and the liquid is going to wash away/mellow some of that out.

What can I do to save 'em?!?!?
 
If it is too much rub-- or the nature of this particular rub, which appears to be pretty potent-- I think the instruction to wrap in foil with the meat side down may have a desirable effect on the finished product. I would carry on and see what happens.
