Cold Smoking questions


 
Hi,
I just got my Pro Q cold smoke maker and am looking forward to trying it. I've searched around the net, but can't find any site, including Pro Q's own, that contains the kind of info for CS that's available here for Q. Chris, think there's enough interst for a Cold Smoke forum?

Anyway, I know I can CS on my Weber smoker, but is there any advantage to that over just using my gasser (which is always set up and right there)? Also, does anyone have favourite sites for CS info and techniques?

I put the cold smoker on the charcoal grate in my Performer. It works great. You just need to make sure that you keep the vents open so that there is good air flow.

So far I've smoke cheddar cheese a couple of times and smoked some lox. Both turned out great. I love the cold smoker.
