Cleaning eyelets

How do you clean the "gunk" out of your eyelets? Mine are getting to the point where it's tough to thread a probe through them.

My SO is in the dental field and I'm considering asking her to bring home some of her scaling tools to do a deep cleaning on my WSM LOL!

Rubbing Alcohol and a Q-Tip should work, or some Greased Lightning. Me, I'd just grab a drill bit and turn it through the eyelit by hand to clean it out.

I agree with the drill bit idea - lube it with a little alcohol (rubbing, drinking, any kind should work).

Thanks guys, I'll do both, Q-tip and then turn a drill bit through it.

I just use a small soft barrel brush I picked up one day at the gun shop. Works great.

I have a .22 gun cleaning kit someplace. Damn, time to tear apart the garage.

EDIT: Damn guys, you know your schmidt, worked like a charm, just like new.
