Cleaning a stuck exhaust vent

Hi Everyone,

I've been smoking for the past 5 days straight, and I noticed that when I tried to adjust my vent on the lid, the buildup of stuff has gotten my vent stuck. Anyone else have this problem? First, I will try to soak it in hot water to see if I can loosen it up, anyone got any other ideas that have worked for you?

How odd. My top vent is normally in only one of two states-- open (cooking), or closed (snuffing charcoal after the cook). Didn't think soot could actually lock it up.

Try a couple of shots of Greased Lightning cleanser, it loosens it up right away and cleans it up nicely.
