CL find (2010 Performer $140)

Here is the newest addition to the family. Picked this up a couple of days ago with the cover and grilling accessories for $140. I really wanted a blue ss performer but this will definitely do. The seller bought it earlier in the summer and is now relocating. I will post updated pictures once all clean, whatever needs to be cleaned. My wife is making me get rid of a grill, I think my 98 Red Brick Mastertouch may have to go(ugghhh)!

I use the Jumbo to go to the beach. They all have uses. My mother-in-law(who lives with us, she is great) actually stood up for me and wants to keep the Mastertouch cause she likes the color and she said they are a family. But she said I can never buy another grill again which I am ok with, the only way I will get another grill is if a Blue Performer pops up where I swap it out with the black.

You could do like I did and keep an eye out for a blue performer lid and bowl and swap them out like I'm going to do tomorrow (they finally got here today, thanks again Mike Purnell!!). When my wife asks "wasn't that BBQ Black on Saturday" I'll just play dumb

Did you buy a new lid and bowl or did you purchase a used one? I kinda like older ss performers, that plastic table top is weird to me. I have a sheet if stainless steel, I'm thinking about going to a machine shop and having it cut to the dimensions of the table top and secure it over the top of the plastic. What do you think?

Mike Purnell had a blue performer bowl and lid for sale on the Canadian version of CL. I found the ad, then realized after one email that he was a member here. My ex was in his area last week so she picked up the blues for me and brought them back.

I'm not sure how he ended up with it, but I'm happy I've got it now. Like you, I wanted a performer in a different color and since mine is only 2 years old blue is the best choice...especially up here where I've only seen 2 redheads posted this year and both were snapped up in minutes.
