Cook's Illustrated says the best way to store corn on the cob is to wrap un-shucked ears in a brown paper bag, wet the bag, and seal in a plastic bag until use.
Preferably to be used in a day or two.

Sorry Charles, left that part out

Place in the fridge after packaging.

We bought a crate of fresh corn for SD. We cooked about half that day. The rest we blanched and froze. When we want some,we just thaw a couple ears out and grill. Very good!
