Chuck (or anything else) foiling question

When you are going to smoke, then foil (as I do with chuck) with liquids and aromatics, and don’t intend on putting back on after foiling, what is the point of putting it in the smoker (other than the aesthetics, etc.)? Why not just pop in the oven when the temp will the stable and you don’t have to check? Last chuck I did the wind picked up and temp became unstable so I just put it in the over…man did it make the house smell good!
 
The oven is certainly a viable option, Don. I just throw it back on the smoker because:

1. It's already hot, and I don't need to heat up the oven and/or house.

2. My personal sanity. I don't think I could handle that luscious smell inside the house for long!
