Chops, corn and shrooms

I would have posted this in the photo section, but had no time to take pictures (house guests.)

Sprung for some bone in rib chops at Whole Paycheck. Nice and thick, and they weren't over trimmed. Threw them in a basic brine for 90 minutes, then dried and hit with pepper, garlic powder and some paprika. Also grabbed two fresh ears of corn, and used the rosemary grilled corn recipe from weber.com. Lastly, de-stemmed some crimini mushrooms to prepare them for the grill.

Corn went direct on the gasser on medium heat for about 15-20 minutes. Chops were cooked for about 12 minutes on the same heat. Shrooms went in a small cast iron skillet with butter, garlic, salt and pepper on the back of the grill indirect.

What a very nice meal. Chops were juicy, just pink, with the right amount of crispy, seasoned fat. Corn could have been fresher, but was very good, and the shrooms were perfectly soft, garlicky, and full of earthy goodness.

Could have done this on the Performer, but still getting acquainted with my "new" Genesis 2. Went well with the Bomber of Sierra Nevada Harvest Ale.

Mmmmmmm.
