Cherry wood

Just ordered 10 lb's of cherry wood off of E-Bay for 3.99 + 7$ shipping. Anyone have any experiences with cherry either good or bad? I'm usually a pecan,apple, or hickory man.

Cheery is sweet and milder than pecan, like it very much.

I use cherry quite often, Dave. For me, it's good for any meat I plan to smoke.

Hi David,

Cherry is a great wood for chicken and turkey. It imparts a nice sweet flavor. I have used it for pork ribs, but I much prefer hickory and oak for ribs.
