I have a very good friend who is a winemaker and has hooked me up with several types of smoking wood. But let me tell you he has outdone himself. He brought over some cherry 🍒 slats that were in some large pinot noir tanks for almost 3 months. 9A024023-25B1-4468-88A4-52B3005B6FC2.jpegThese bad boys were dry and could be snapped into about 4 inch pieces. Added them to some indirect cooking on Performer.6BB0A659-35DF-4477-9E57-87A40080359A.jpeg5012EE6D-17C4-4382-981F-D5E3D7677ECB.jpeg9258AD21-5DDE-4577-B3AF-3BDC973EFF18.jpegI also did some Mung beans for the first time ever. Very flavorful and easy to cook!35EC5236-A589-49E4-923D-58BCE6CE77F2.jpeg

When I see wood like that I'm thinking what kind of woodworking project can I do with it😁. The food looks delicious!

Richard,
I can only imagine how amazing that wood has to spend. A pork loin seems like the perfect cut for that wood also.
