I came home from work today and went out back to clean up the WSM from this week-end's rib cook. The lid was kind of stuck on the body but came off with a good tug. As I started the clean-up the wife wanted me to go to the store with her - to be gone about an hour. I put the lid back on the WSM but not on tight, kind of slightly offset.
When we got home I went back outside to check it out again and the damn thing is lit and registering 225* lid temp. With all the vents closed the coals have been going since 10:30am Sunday morning, 33+ hours!

got air leak ?

Absolutely !

"got air leak ?"

Or, a prankster neighbor! /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Neighbor? I don't think so Ray. I live in a new development which is less than a year old. We're all still trying to figure each other out.
By the way, the WSM was total spent this AM.
I think? /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Mike,

If it is indeed an air leak, read my post in your 3 Racks of Baby Backs thread.

If it's not an air leak, it is the work of Satan. You saw the Amityville Horror... move out of that house!
