Greetings -
This is my first posting on this site, but I've been referring to it for weeks now. I am an American living overseas, and while I can usually get charcoal briquettes here locally, sometimes the only option is regular charcoal, with pieces of varying sizes. I just received my WSM last week, and put it together yesterday. It looks great, and I'm looking forward to using it. I'll have briquettes for my first attempt at smoking, but looking ahead, I'd appreciate any advice concerning whether or not it's also o.k. to use plain old charcoal. Thanks for your consideration of this minor point.

Lump charcoal will work fine, it burns hotter and faster than briquettes so adjust accordingly.
