Can't find the thread again... FBs, grates, wheels, casters, etc.

It is a great discussion thread with suggestions, feedback and many links to purchase from Amazon. I remember @Steve Hoch, @Bruce, @Josh Dekubber, @Cody Bratton were in there, to name a few. I failed to bookmark it.

There was a Marketplace listing for a "Weber Genesis L/P Side Burner 7810—Brand New... This is a brand new, never-installed side burner for Weber Genesis LP grill in perfect condition."

I'm not sure if you were looking for the thread? Here's where I posted it originally

I see it’s pending. Nice pickup!
I was excited to score it for the Gen 3000 LX I am refurbing as a personal grill! Now I'm looking to add a work table to swap out with the sideburner when desired, and a drop table to the right side. I'm guessing I actually only need the z brackets and drop table kit hardware, as I'll be replacing all the wood eventually? Also looking for a new lid. Unfortunately, the original has a sizeable, rusty dent where the front and top planes meet that I didn't notice in the seller's photos. I prepaid so she would hold it for me. Both end caps are fine.IMG_8413.jpeg

The pieces you’re looking for shouldn’t be too hard to acquire. The slide bracket is a more difficult piece to find. But looks like a great start nonetheless.
I’m hoping some are willing to sell from their respective caches to help a brother out and shoot me a DM. Donors from this era rarely appear in my area. Richmond/Houston, TX.

What’s your lid preference for the end product?
I’ve always liked the black, although I understand from the group very nice ones without “Weber Fade” are getting harder to find. I didn’t know what a Redhead grill was until I joined the group in October, but was immediately smitten… kinda like a special redheaded, green-eyed lady from my younger days. Based on my limited knowledge of what colors exist in the wild, black and red are my first choices, but I’m open to other colors depending on condition.

I've always liked the black ones best myself. You're right though, nice black lids are getting harder to find. Of course, you can still buy a brand new one if money is no object. This was my first restoration about five years ago. The lid was close to perfect but was just starting to get the little white dots on it in a few places, another form of Weber fade.IMG_1685758909602.jpgScreenshot_20250506-072337.png
