Can't find the thread again... FBs, grates, wheels, casters, etc.

I'd love to see more photos from folks who have done the same
I've ordered several sets of SS Z-metal and flip table brackets from Dave. Also several sets of flavorizer bars and a couple sets of 3/8 thick SS grates. His grates replicate Weber #9930 grates exactly which are very hard to get now and if you can they are much more expensive. I have multiple sets of both and I can say they are virtually identical.

I have refinished original wood slats that were still in excellent condition on multiple grills and I've also used Sappy Walnut but My favorite wood by far is IPE Ironwood (Brazilian Walnut) and I've been using that on the last few grills.

I've also recently started making my own handles. Im confident I can exactly match original handles now after a little bit of practice. I need to get more made.

Josh, all I can say is DAAAAMMMMNNN those are friggin GORGEOUS!! I love the way you positioned the slats to transition the wood grain from one to the next as smoothly as possible. That detail may be lost on some. I will order my metal from Dave. Will you be my wood guy?🙏

Thank you Troy! I appreciate the compliment. I don't sell my wood slats or handles but I'm happy to help if you have any questions. I don't know for sure if @Steve Hoch is selling slats or handles but couldn't hurt to ask. I do know from experience that anything from Steve is 100% top-notch craftsmanship.

If you don't have Dave's direct contact information let me know. That will save you money VS ordering from his eBay.

They all look so good. Now deciding what wood to use has become a little tougher. I'll definitely reach out to Steve... Hey there, Steve!

Please DM me Dave's info and I'll hit him up for my metal. Thank you, Josh.

Yep that lid will fit. Looks like it came off of a Silver originally. Not just because of the handle but the handle bolt placement into the end caps.
Love it, I learned something new... the handle bolt placement. I did notice the handle was from a Silver and the knobs weren't original. Thought maybe the handle and bottom shelf just died as the work table doesn't look too healthy either. If you look closely you can see the cook box is a 13 bar. Do the Silver lids actually have the same profiles/bolt pattern as my 3000, so I can use the Silver lid with the end caps and handle from my 3000 to keep the look authentic to the 3000? If not, I'll pass on this lid and keep looking for an authentic x000 lid.

You know, that's a good question. We know a lid from a silver will fit a Genesis 1000-5000 for sure. Whether or not you can switch the end caps from one lid to another is something I'm not sure of but someone must know the answer to.

Let's talk slats!:genesis3:
I might be able to help you as long as you want mahogany. I know I already have a head start on what would be 42 slats if you want enough for two right side tables as well. I think I already have a mahogany handle made too. I don't think I can take on a project of making all of that from scratch at the moment from another wood, maybe in the future. So send me a message about what you want exactly and we'll figure it out.
