Cannot connect to Asus RT-AC66U router

I had to buy a new router cause my old Cicso E3000 died. However I cannot get my HM to connect to the new Asus router. Is anyone using this router successfully with a HM?

My old, old, old LM connects to the wifi just fine, and it is running one of the smokers, but the new fan-dangled one doesn't work with the new router.

Ideas?

Well not being very patient, I just hooked it up to my router, and redid all the wifi stuff. It is now working.

What I bet was happening was the ESSID field was set in the wifi config which ties it to that one specific access point. If you blank that out, it can connect to anything with the same name. I vote this as "Least helpful feature in OpenWrt'".

I have a 68U. I had WI-FI reliability problems with my HM and the Asus stock firmware. Once I flashed it with DD-WRT everything began working without problems.
YMMV though.
