I have a really big storage unit that I used to store like 100lbs of some oak and cherry wood that apparently had a hole in it. It rained very heavily a few day's ago and I opened it up to see it full and soaking with water. The wood had a weird smell to it so I rinsed it out.

Can I still use this wood if I eventually let it dry out?

Thanks

Sure, I would as long as it's not moldy.

Man, I'm gonna have to water the yard today, it barely sprinkled here. If you have any doubt's about it, I'll meet you in Oceanside and take it off your hands

Hey Bill,
I have some to give away but I'm a bit away's from Oceanside. I actually live in Chula Vista wayyyyy at the bottom. Let me know if you are down in the area.

there are still lots of folks who soak their wood before adding (unnecessary, but unharmful too). So as long as it isn't moldy or rotting, like Bill said, you are perfectly fine.
