So space is tight in the car when we load up for camping and needless to say the 22 probably wont fit

I'm looking for some good camping recipes or tricks so I can still have some good smoked meat around the fire, pork or beef. I'm going to check out some products to see if theres a mini smoker which will perform just as good as my 22??

I guess the smokey joe mod will make a great WSM. ( read more about it)

If not then i bet the wsm/kettle lid over a "public grill" grate with smoke wood on the coals will help you with a hint of smoke. Or use the minced meat protein(burgers/sausage/meatballs) they suck up smoke like a spunge. And can be done direct over a fire with some smoke wood and still taste "smokey"

The mini packs up into 2 easily transportable items.
You can put charcoal wood chunks & cooking implements in the cookers

Awesome idea, I bought the pot and the Smokey Joe at Target tonight. I cant wait to give this little guy a whirl, prob start with a butt and see how long I can burn the coals for...
