I stopped by Bludso's in Compton a couple times. Really excellent take-out (only) at the time. I can't recall all the details, but I always buy a sample of ribs, brisket, pork and sausage when going to a new joint. A friend knows the owner and related that someone backed him to open the downtown LA restaurant. I've never been to that location. Not long after the LA restaurant opened, the Compton location closed. If you're in the area of the downtown location, I'd recommend trying it.
