Burn-Off Results: Time/Temp

I did the initial burn-off for my new E-210 today, the temperature was 19C (66F) outside, and my time/temps were as follows:

10 min 500
15 min 535
20 min 550
35 min 560

After 40 minutes I opened the lid to check things out (and air it out), turned the burners down to medium, then closed the lid and let it cook for another 15 minutes before I shut it down.

Definitely noticed the hot machine oil smell (and was very glad my $30 striploin steak wasn't on there yet).

Also surprised it didn't get up to 600, but maybe the cool rainy day wasn't helping.

Do those temps look right? And was my burn-off procedure adequate? Later that day when I pre-heated it for that striploin there was no machine oil smell.

Couple pictures of that striploin below, thanks all.

Sounds about right. I had an E-310 that would reach 575 after 15 minutes, and that is with the extra burner. It would sometimes hit 600 after lengthy warm ups. Regardless, the instructions on the grill time and temp card/guide proved to make consistently good results.
