buffalo chicken wing recipe from cooking topics

I've always loved the traditional buffalo wing recipe, have been to buffalo a number of times and have tried all manner of recipe.

I made the recipe in cooking topics for a party at our house using Anchor wing sauce and grilling (rather than frying) after smoking. The mix of traditional flavor profile with the smokiness of wood makes it my all-time favorite wing recipe. And I like to think its a little more healthy due to the lack of frying. They were certainly the hit of the party.

btw, I think the anchor wing sauce is the best commercially available wing sauce. Anybody like anything else?

thanks for the recipes, I feel the same way you do about ranch dressing but this sounds like its worth a try.

franks with butter is my number 2 sauce.

I'm ok with it, when the wings are smoked, it seems like a good southern connection (IM yankee O). just don't serve it to my when the wings are fried and hot sauced.

and keep in mind this is the first ranch I've tasted that I liked.

Craving something different, I drug out the fryer and lit off a good size batch of wings. I have yet to do this on my low carb diet, but I know these are fine to eat.

I keep mine pretty simple, after frying I toss them with a bit of Willinghams mild rub, and then into a large bowl to be tossed with about a Tbs of BBQ sauce.

I know we don't usually post recipes here, but this is by far the best sauce I've ever put on any kind of chicken. It's to die for.

2 tablespoons butter
1 large shallot, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 ounces bourbon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon ancho pepper, finely chopped
8 ounces chili sauce
8 ounces barbecue sauce
3 ounces wing sauce
Add em all into a small sauce pot and simmer gently.
