BRITU rub without MSG?

I am smoking up a bunch of ribs for Christmas dinner, but we will be having a guest that has a severe reaction to MSG.

Has anyone tried making the rub without the Accent (MSG), and did it affect the flavor?

I imagine that it would not cause a huge change, but figured it doesn't hurt to ask.

I've done it both ways with no appreciable difference.

I know I've seen others here post that they also leave it out for one reason or another.
