I used the BRITU recipe, with the exception of finishing with my own sauce. Several people (me included) tried ribs with just the rub and were impressed with that flavor.

I will use BRITU from now on.

I used Bryan ribs. Pulled the membrane and "Dusted" with the rub.

Mike,
I live near Birmingham and all the Bryan ribs around here are "enhanced" with the infamous solution. Were the Bryan ribs you smoked enhanced too?
 
Typically enhanced ribs don't produce a desirable finished product...glad you liked it!
