Briskets and Buttermilk

Has anyone tried marinating the brisket in buttermilk? Does it do any good? Hoe long? Rinse?

Haven't heard of it, but then again there are alot of things I haven't heard of! I have heard of marinating chicken that you are going to fry in buttermilk, to tenderize it. So I guess it would make sense! You try it first and let me know!
