Brisket Point

Happy Early St Patty's day to everyone. What does everybody think of a brisket point. I found some on sale, but heard they are not as good as flats. I was gonna do both. How much longer will the point take than the flat?? I have about 7 or 8 hours to play with.
 
It will take about double the time to render the point down verses the flat. I'm not a huge fan of point meat, don't like the grainy texture of it. I have my corned flat in the fridge waiting for the big day.

I actually prefer Point meat, as does my family, but perhaps I need more practice....

Bryan can we do a smoke sometime?
