On Friday, I'm planning a 6 lbs brisket along with two 4 lbs birds. Knowing the slight difference in temp between top and bottom grate, should I just put the brisket on top and the 2 chicks below? I usually cook chicken at 250 grate temp, but I don't want to cook the brisket too fast or too high.

Suggestions?

Gary....

You should never put the chicken over another meat. The juices can contaminate the meat below.

I'm not a big chicken fan nor do I cook it a lot, but when I do...I use either the WSM alone or more likely my charcoal kettle.
