Blue paint recomendations

I dropped the top on my Blue Weber Performer and put a nice 2" chip in the paint. I want to fix it so it does not rust and it really bothers me every time I see it. Any high heat blue paint recommendations for touching it up?
Thanks
Joe

Hi Joe, There are Automotive Paints for High Heat in various colors. It should be rated at 800F or better to be safe. Amazon, Auto Parts Stores or Tractor Supply type stores should have them.

Thanks - I did not even think of going to Autozone or others. Be funny me walking in with the lid from my grill;-)

Hi Joe, there is a clear Hi Heat paint from Rustoleum that will add some gloss or sheen to any color you might find. There are some posts on the board that repaired Weber Charcoal Kettle grills with dents, rust spots, etc.

Going to be pretty hard to get an exact match. I'd recommend spraying some of the paint in a cup and using a small brush to paint just the chipped area. Will be able to blend it better that way versus just taping and spraying.

If your chip is really deep, you might consider using JB Weld Ultra High Heat as a kind of bondo first. I have seen where someone else did that with pretty good results.
