VE My new Slate griddle also has the VE code. Dang a slate and a searwood. Nice. I’m really thinking about the new rust proof slate.

Tom Horsman did a review on Youtube, He used 5 or 6 puck type thermometers instead of biscuits. IIRC, the temps were pretty consistent throughout, but strayed a bit more at high temps.

Interesting it's hotter on the ends then directly over fire pot.

I think it actually makes sense based on that fire pot cover. It directs the heat outward to the sides.
