Becky, if you are interested, I have a new Stok tower I picked up from home depot for the CI grates. I haven't assembled it, and I'll include the grate from my performer (also new) since I'm keeping the CI grates. $30 if you want it.

So what does a used once Stok with a rusty grate on the the other side of the country have to do with my local offer for less money to Becky?

Stewart I have totally rehabbed both these grills. New wheels, new wood handles, the whole works. I'll take a few pictures of what these grills look like now. They are so sweet now, You'll get in your car and drive down here to punch me in the throat!

Here are a few pictrues of the grills today. This is after I did some restoring. I replaced that bad thermometer on the side with one from a Weber Summit. I liked the look of the big therm on the big grill. I got a slide aside because the lid was so big and heavy, this didn't come with the lid bale like the new 26.75's. I got new 8" wheels and tossed the old ones that were beat up. I made the wood handles out of zebra wood and lasered Weber on the top handle. I also got a new daisy wheel from Weber on the top so it would have the plastic handle on it. As for the red one, I have posted that resto project here before.

The 26 has been in constant use since the day I got it. Love it!

I wonder if that's the one I passed up (Glendale Heights, IIRC.) If so, I'm glad I did. It's clear that it has found a better home than I could have provided.

Well done!

Yea I got it in Glendale Heights. I bet it was the same one. It has a few war wounds but it's got a lot of life left. I just want to keep it in the game. Definitely a cooker, but a pretty good looker too. Did you ever find a 26?
