Best Therm to go between kettle and WSM?

I like to switch back and forth, and the digital probe I have doesn't seem to like the high heat of the kettle... So is there a good non probe therm. people can recommend that I can take in and out of the holes in the two grills? thanks

Be careful using digital probes like Taylor, or Polder, or Maverick, etc. Most of the probes are only rated to 392º and they will malfunction if the temps are higher in the kettle, and then it's buy new probe time. Go Ahead, ask me how I know.

Here you go! Laser thermometer.

Not any good for measuring internal meat temps or even ambient air temps inside the cooker, but it'd sure give you a grate temp or meat surface temp. What good that would be I have no idea, but it looks cool!
