Best Paint for Performer Table Top

I picked up a free Performer (included new OEM timer module) - the ash sweeper is pooched (I already ordered and received an Amazon replacement).
The metal table top is rusty - I plan on sanding it and repainting.
What's the best/closest to OEM rattle can paint to use?

The BBQ is from this era

Great score! I believe the table is powder coated. Hard to tell about table in pics but I'd start with a good washing and see how much it needs. I'd use steel wool/soapy water to wash and remove rust spots.

If the effected areas are minimal, I'd just touch up spots with Testors Enamel model paint. I'd try to keep the factory finish as much as possible because I think it would hold up over time better than spray paint.

I have that same performer and like Mike-GA said give it a good scrubbing.
From that one pic it doesent look that bad.

I agree to restore original if at all possible. No rattle can paint is going to hold up like the factory finish. But if you find it is too far gone, this Rustoleum is a good one to use:
