Before and After pictures

DH just said that the generator he is restoring is looking really great. I asked him if he took a before picture. He said no, what for? Now I know a lot of you here are restoring grills to flip and post pictures here of some of them, but do you take before and after photos of all your work?
 
Yup! So when you forget where that part/nut/screw goes or how it fits back together, you can go back and look at the pics to find out. 🤔
 
Yes, I try to take before pictures. It‘s great to have documentation and pictures are cheap and easy to take with the phone.
 
When DH finishes restoring a generator, it looks and works like brand new. I wanted to see what this looked like at the beginning to see how hard he had to work to accomplish that. I am just so proud of him, as I am sure your wives, mother/father, girl friends are of all of you.
 
DH said it will be a little while before it is completed. He said to thank you for asking. I will post pictures when it is completed.. It is a marine generator that he will convert to a home generator that will take care of our whole house. We have a smaller one now that has kept the frig and a few other things going when we have lost power here. Let's hope to God we wont have any hurricanes at least until it is finished.
