The barstool sports video thread led me to the idea to braise beef ribs in beer until tender. Then removed the bones, lightly rubbed and put on a good sear.
The ribs were marked down, the charcoal was recycled and the beer was inadvertently left in my fridge by someone else. Feeling pretty frugal this evening.
