Beef Tenderloin Questions

As it turns out, our Earth Fare is having a sale this weekend. Grassfed whole tenderloin is $9.99/lb. (which is a savings of $7/lb.). So, I'm thinking about smoking one. I've seen Chris' article, but I want to hear from you. Have you done smoked tenderloin? What type of wood did you use? How much?

Thanks y'all!

Yea, I prolly did like a dozen or so. ( big sale, stocked upped) I used Chris's method on everyone and they came out fantastic. Only thing I changed was to use Red Oak as a smokewood, ( 2 chunks).TL is such a mild tasting cut, I felt it would benefit more from a stronger smoke instead of a milder one.
