But the second season was way more in line with what seems to be popular in the reality TV market. Not about teaching us cool bbq tricks or really doing anything other than promoting drama. Not even about who is the best cook.

Oh you're in the midst of preparing your brisket, wait, cook up this porcupine and see if you can get Warren Sapp to like it!

Anyway, reality tv shows are about "interpersonal relationships" (haha) more than the actual "topic", so I try to keep that in mind while watching. Top Shot for example. I love guns, but more of the show is based on drama than marksmenship.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Regardless, I do like seeing some good bbq on tv, so I'll still watch! haha

In my opinon, alot Of the BBQ PM program is entertainment, which I may or maynot care for.

I do enjoy looking at the food, as well as maybe picking up a pointer here or there.

I will be watching as well.

Exactly, John. If you can watch it with somewhat of a detached attitude, not expecting too much, and instead be happy just to see some fellow smokers on tv, and see some techniques we all use...then it can be a decent viewing experience.

I used to love watching Robert Rainford on License to Grill for some reason. never really got much out of the episodes, but I think I liked the fact that he'd always bring up having a beverage in every show.

I Can't stand those BBQ Pitmasters shows, very stupid, not presented in a good way. I'll stick with Steven Raichlen's Primal grill series http://www.primalgrill.org/index.asp . I own all three seasons of his DVDs, it's much more enjoyable to watch, and, as I have met him a couple of times, he is a really nice, down to earth, kind of a guy, easy to chat with.

Well i can agree that the first season was better. But that doesent mean im not gonna watch the second. If i have the time to sit down and watch TV and its about bbq(ANY BBQ) im happy.

And i think a mix of the first/second season should be mixed. The second season wont give you tips/tricks and make you a better cook. But first one dont really help eather..Watching peeps waiting for scores/running with food to turn in. Or how to use lighter fluid in a pit by Myron.

I would love a Deep BBQ show were you can lern some new methods and get some good tips.

Noone of the pitmaster shows is under that lable.

I only seen a few episodes but i wanna se more. A great Show.

If you love food then watch the Man.VS.Food seen em all and i love it.

My PBS TV channel, runs Primal Grill during the late spring and early summer.

I find his show more informative than the others.

At any rate I like looking at the BBQ'd food on all of them.

Makes my mouth water.
