On Sunday I showed my brother in law how to prep and smoke a turkey. The turkey was a gift from his work and since he recently moved out of home and is on his own. He wants to learn how to grill and cook since he doesn't have his mom to do it for him. He moved about 120 miles away from his moms house. Now he lives 30 miles away from us. We are very proud of him.
Here's a few pics...
Smoked @300 with apple, peach and hickory wood. Total cook time 4 hours 20 min.
The left side of the bird was rubbed with a bbq rub and the other with webers chiken seasoning.

We had a few of this cheap drinks. Alize with cherry coke.

Here it is ready to be cut up.

Plated with sides I had on hand. Bbq turkey was great....

We vacumed sealed the rest of the turkey so he can eat during the week. And some for next week. Since he is just starting and needs to save money and he said this will save him money to buy other essentials for his studio. He has a futon, electric single burner "stove" and a refrigerator. He has a way to go.
Thanks for looking.
Tony and Maribel.
