BBQ newbie!

Hi folks!

Total BBQ newbie here. I grew up grilling with my dad on a Weber kettle; now I'm looking to cross over into the slow and low world!

I actually don't even own a WSM yet! I'm moving to North Carolina in a few months and plan to get one after settling in. In the meantime, I'm going to learn as much as I can about the art of BBQ. Anyone know of a good dealer in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro area?

Lovin' this forum already. Thanks for providing newcomers like me with a wealth of knowledge!
 
Welcome to the forum. Lots of info to go through on the site and Chris's tutorials are a great place to start. Any questions you have will be answered by plenty of people with plenty of experience with numerous different answers to the same question, all of which are correct most of the time.
 
Welcome aboard Tom! I agree with what Bob said, extremely knowledgeable
people on this board that are willing to help. As far as a dealer in NC, if you
can't find one, your best bet is to purchase one through the Amazon link on
this board. Amazon has amazingly quick delivery and also by purchasing though
the link it helps the board.

If you are planning on buying a WSM when you move, consider getting it from Amazon. If you follow the link from this site to Amazon and order it there, the site is given some type of consideration that goes to running this site. I don't know the details buy it sounds good to me. That is where I ordered mine from and since I have Amazon Prime, the two day shipping is free. Good deal both ways. Enjoy the site. A lot of good people here to help.
