My team, Smokey Mountain Boys, competed this weekend in the 27th Annual Shawnee Grillers in Shawnee, Kansas. Overall, we placed 21st out of 87 teams with a 674…up from 44th place last year. Here are category results and pictures:

Ribs - 15th
Chicken - 22nd
Pork - 30th
Sausage - 39th
Brisket - 48

That all looks awesome to me! Big jump from last year's results. If you do that again you'll be in the top 5 next year!!
Do you agree with the results and that the ribs were your strongest entry?

Side note... ever where would the curly parsley industry be with out BBQ Comp?? ;) 🤣
 
Thanks John! We often say on our team that we do best in a category that we think is our worst and worst in what we think was our best. That was the case with ribs and brisket this time. Go figure. It sometimes feels like we are chasing a moving target and scratch our heads with some results.
