Well, maybe modify is too strong of word. I just undid one of the ring screws and kind of "opened" things up a bit so the coleman bottles would fit. The ring still supports the thin bottles too.

I'd think it would be fairly easy to make a modified ring for the larger bottle, but I haven't felt the need yet.

That just answered the only question I had about this grill, how to modify the ring to fit the Coleman bottles. Just bought my 120 and I just love it! Thanks for the info.
