Ash catcher is hard to Remove

Every time I go to remove the enclosed ash catcher on the gold model it always puts up a fight

. For what ever reason it sticks and I'm not sure why. Has anyone solved this problem

? I could use some advice....

usually something is bent or outta wack. look closely for scratches that don't belong.
