Applewood for the winter

My fathers neighbour dropped off a couple of good size hunks of apple wood. Probably about 35 lbs worth. Finally got around to cutting it into smaller pieces and de-barked it. I'll be letting it dry out a bit before using it. Should be a good winter of smoking!

I love apple wood. Did you save some sawdust? It's good for cold smoking if you're into any of that.

Your picture reminds me that I have a nice standing apple tree to take down at a friends place downstate. Early November is a
nice cool time for that kind of work. Apple is my favorite wood to smoke with.
