anyone smoke 4 butts before?

Has anyone smoked 4 butts before on their WSM? I have done 2, and I think I can fit 4 small ones on, but does the time increase dramatically? The last time I did 2 butts for about 9-10 hours, how much longer do you think it would take for 4 butts? Thanks in advance!

I have done four 7#-8# butts at a time on several occasions now. It has taken me between 15 and 19 hours to bring them up to 200 degrees.

Works great.

Done 4 many times. Also done 2 8# butts and 2 5# briskets at one time too!!

If you stand the butts on side you can probably do 6 at a time. Now that's some butt!!!

I have done 4 6.5# butts at once, took about 20 hours. But, (pardon the pun) they were good!!

Just kidding. I have gotten 6 x 7-8lb butts on there before. I put 3 on top and 3 on bottom. Just put a bit of foil on the outer edges that touch the side of the smoker to keep them from burning and then when the shrink up some I removed the foil. They came out GREAT. Took me about 18 hrs to do it. I rotated the butts from top rack to bottom rack at half way point and in the end it all worked out well.
