Anyone know where this should be plugged into?

Genesis II LX, the light knob to turn on the lights for the control knobs is not working. Batteries are replaced. I saw this part hanging, not plugged in. Any idea if that is the reason?

I'd guess there is a box under there for the battery with a likely empty plug/receptacle for it. Unless those grills need line voltage through a cord. IDK as I've never seen one of those models in person

No, this black plug is unrelated and is for the “iGrill 3” Bluetooth Module, sold separately.



However, see the photo below, there are 4 plugs that plug into the black box where the large D Batteries go which power the lights:



However if you have those plugged in properly and still no lights, it could be as simple as that you have your D batteries installed upside down.
